171. Svenimento

Several years ago, the pattern Swoon by Camille Roskelley was super popular. When Mark and I went on a Mediterranean cruise in 2006, I purchased some beautiful fabric in Sicily. I didn't get very much of it  because it was $25/meter, which was exorbitant for the time.

It took a long time before I figured out how to use the fabric. Using it in the center of each block was definitely a good decision.

With so many beautiful watery blues and greens, where else to photograph it than at the ocean?

Oh, and the name? I did an English to Italian translation of the word "swoon," and up popped "svenimento."
