Liberty Lake was made using a fabulous fat eighth bundle of Oakshott cottons (named Liberty Lakes) and some scraps of Liberty of London.
In my first version of the blocks, I tried inserting the Liberty of London scraps at all different angles.
I'm a person who prefers more symmetry so I quickly decided I didn't like the angles.
This fabric is so soft that hand quilting is like going through butter.
However, those wonky blocks did make it to the back of the quilt.
