I have long been a fan of patterns by Brittany Lloyd of Lo and Behold. A couple of years ago, I made her Deco quilt--an art deco-inspired design.
I also believe everyone should have their own Christmas quilt, so when Stacie and Sam got engaged, I knew one of their wedding gifts would be a Christmas quilt for Sam (Stacie already had one made by me). I wanted it to be kind of subtle--not "in your face" red and green. I found the perfect kit online and made Choose Joy. The red is not a true red, and the greens trend toward olive.
I found the perfect backing--trees in just the perfect colors.
One of the prints, a red one, I think, had "choose joy" printed on the selvage. The perfect name for the holiday season, and for life in general.
