For years, I had a stack of animal print Minkee. I always meant to make this quilt, but sometimes the thought of working with Minkee (which is super messy) always put me off.

And then one day Ella discovered that stack of Minkee. Two things: she is very tactile and loves soft things. And she adores animal prints. She begged me to make the quilt for her. How could I say no?
I also knew exactly where it needed to be photographed. For years, we have driven by Reedley City College and their mascot, this huge tiger statue.
Gabe immediately pointed out that the tail is shaped like an "R". Hmmm. Never noticed that before. But he's right!
