One of my favorite people on Instagram is Kristi @71stitches. She lives in Tumwater, Washington, and I've been able to spend some time with her twice at QuiltCon. She has an amazing eye for color and fabric choices.
On more than one occasion I have asked her to kit one of the quilts she has shown in her feed, which she has graciously done. The most recent one was what I call The Blues, an X and + quilt using a pattern by Brigitte Heitland, along with her fabric line, True Blue. The border is a light blue essex linen.
I made most of it during my stay with my friend Trudy at the end of September 2017.I'm very happy with the way it turned out. And apparently our grandsons are happy with it as well. Isn't this the best reason for quilting?
