134. Bullseye

 I have made a couple of quilts using the traditional kaleidoscope block. Bullseye is one of them.

My inspiration was this photo in a magazine.

For ease of construction, I changed it from a hexagon to an octagon.

The block is strip pieced and then cut into triangles.
This sketch of my idea along with two wedges of actual fabric is one of my very favorite process shots!

The backing of the quilt turned out to be my favorite part. But more on that at a later time...

I took this quilt along to a local archery shop.
